Psalm
17: Hear Me
Amos Wilson (September 7,
2014)
Heed
the right, attend my cry,
Hear
my cause – my lips don't lie.
Let
vindication come from you,
Look
at the ones whose ways are true.
You
test my heart and fill my night,
I'm
innocent – my mouth speaks right.
Rejecting
man, I grasp your word,
The
paths of Satan I've not heard.
Uphold
my path with your great lips,
And my
foot surely will not slip.
I
called and you will answer me.
Incline
your ear and hear my plea.
For
those who come as refugees,
By
your right-hand showcase your mercies.
Protect
me as you keep your eye,
And
underneath your wings I hide.
